How NOT to prepare absinthe

I had a sneaking suspicion that this video was going to end badly when I spotted the lighters on the tabletop.
Also, the complete lack of water was disturbing… Why they bothered to attempt a history lesson in the demo but then prepare the Pernod Absinthe in a completely modern and dangerous* manner is a mystery to me. (Especially when the graphics on the wall behind her seem to indicate a proper, traditional preparation.)
Shame on you Pernod for clearly misinforming countless people on the preparation of absinthe, and shame on you legourmet for posting the video. The drink the video fairy prepared would be fit for pouring down the sink and nothing more.
